Sourcing and Manufacturing Firearms? ITAR Applies.
Domestic manufacturers – are you aware that the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) require a firearm export license before firearms, ammunition or components can be made to your prints outside the United States? This rule applies even if you interact only with the U.S. affiliate of an off-shore manufacturer. Collaborating with non-U.S. parties in the design of firearms, ammunition or components also requires an export license.
Sound daunting? It really isn’t all that complicated. Join our program on global design, sourcing and manufacture of firearms, ammunition and components from 10:30-11:15am on May 17thand you’ll leave with an understanding of the basics. If you already understand the basics but have more advanced questions, ask DDTC licensing officers during the ITAR roundtable discussion.
Marking Firearms with Laser Technology?
Cachung! That’s the sound of the old-school press marking your receivers and frames.
Not the most efficient and prone to a higher degree of error that we may want to admit. But, when it comes to applying Serial Numbers and other regulated markings, technology can play a significant role. Learn how to trigger Laser marking with production orders, mark and optically validate markings and automatically acquire into your ERP and Bound Book!
Join Jon Rydberg, CEO of Orchid Advisors, and Jim Earman, CEO and Founder of Jimani, Inc. for an in-depth discussion on Friday, May 18th.
