HARTFORD, CT (January 26, 2022) – Orchid and Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group are excited to announce open registration for the revamped 2022 Firearms Industry Conference (FIC), to be held in Atlanta this April. All Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) are invited to the 8th annual event which will deliver strategic content on FFL technology, finance and compliance, as well as firearm industry laws. New to the FIC series is FIC On-Air™ and donations made directly to NSSF’s Project ChildSafe program.
FIC On-Air™ is a new, two-day virtual event to be held on April 21–22 with 20 short sessions designed for new or existing FFLs and their employees who wish to elevate their tactical knowledge related to retail point-of-sale, ecommerce, manufacturing ERP, electronic Bound Book/e4473 technology, ATF regulations, NFA firearms, firearm importation and export, and other compliance and technology topics. Participants can join one or all virtual sessions for only $125.
The 2022 FIC offers optional deep-dive and in-person workshops designed to immerse attendees in the comprehensive duties of an ATF-defined “Responsible Person,” firearm and ammunition export mechanics, and firearm inventory management aided by POS, ERP and ecommerce technology. These pre-conference workshops will be held on April 25, with each session including three hours of live content.
Executive guests from NSSF, NASGW, ASA and the ATF, FBI NICS, DDTC and BIS will attend the conference main event, to be held April 26–27, offering presentations and interactive question-answer periods with attendees. Over 20 additional sessions will be delivered by firearm industry professionals, attorneys and technologists. Content will include a range of topics, such as: Firearm and Ammunition Excise Tax, Firearm Distribution in 2022, Mastering ATF Inspections, Cybersecurity and Data Protection, Retail POS Technology, Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Firearms Marketing, ATF Imports and more.
The 2022 FIC will feature continued and increased support for NSSF programs. Every FIC registration comes with the option for attendees to donate in support of NSSF’s Project ChildSafe firearm safety program. Sponsors will also be contributing to Project ChildSafe with a portion of every sponsorship donated in the sponsor’s name. In addition, attendees will hear directly from NSSF about Industry/Government Relations, as well as Project ChildSafe, National Shooting Sports Month and NSSF’s +ONE mentorship program. On behalf of the conference hosts, we are delighted to support the industry’s trade association, NSSF.
“We are grateful to FIC for recognizing the importance of NSSF’s efforts that work to safeguard our industry and grow the shooting sports. We especially appreciate providing attendees the option to donate in support of the nation’s leading firearm safety program, Project ChildSafe,” said Joe Bartozzi, President and CEO of NSSF and Chairman of the Project ChildSafe Foundation.
Also unique to this year’s sponsorship program is eliminating traditional industry “fee for a logo display.” Sponsorship of the 2022 FIC includes complimentary passes provided to the sponsor for use with supply chain partners, subcontract FFLs, up-and-coming retailers and others who would welcome receiving the gift of education.
“We look forward to the Firearms Industry Conference each year and are excited about the event’s continued growth and progression,” said conference hosts Jon Rydberg and Camden Webb. “Whether virtual or in-person, FIC delivers invaluable information to our industry’s professionals.”
