2021 FICC Registration

2021 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference

HARTFORD, CT (February 11, 2021) – Orchid LLC and Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group announce updates to the 2021 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference (“FICC”). Effective today, the hosts have opened registration for two platforms that include the FICC conference as well as FFL MasterClass, the first instructor-led career development program for the shooting sports industry. FICC Conference Scheduled for June 8 – 9 in Orlando, Florida The 2021 conference is designed primarily for manufacturing CEO / owners, attorneys, and compliance professionals but is open to all FFL types. Attendees will hear from industry executives and ATF, DDTC, and FBI agency personnel.  Educational sessions have been organized into the following tracks and will offer CLE credits  for industry attorneys.
  • Navigating Complex Firearm Business Strategy and Legal Liability
  • Managing Compliant Firearm Manufacturing Operations
  • Leveraging Technology to Balance Efficiency with Compliance
Notable sessions include: Raising Capital and Managing Firearm Credit Risk, Protection in Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), Firearm Manufacturing Intellectual Property, ATF Inspections, ATF eForms, Import and Export / EAR Concepts, Firearm Manufacturing ERP / eBound software, and Laser Marking Integrations. The Federal Agencies will be available for virtual roundtable breakout sessions and private FFL discussions. “Together, we’re proud to share that Orchid and Williams Mullen have served 30 of the top 40 firearm manufacturers,” said Jon Rydberg, Orchid’s CEO and co-host. “And, by volume, that represents nearly 90% of all firearms manufactured in the United States. We find it prudent, given our depth of expertise and growth in licensee volume to focus on the more complex needs of the manufacturing segment. Concurrently, our retail and startup programs have been moved to live, virtual segments which also aligns with the tighter budgets of the firearm retail and eCommerce sector.” Key to this year’s event will be the hosts’ response to the ongoing COVID pandemic. Orchid and Williams Mullen are committed to a safe environment that includes mandatory mask wearing, social distancing and frequent cleanings of the conference venue in accordance with both Orlando city and hotel policies. The most significant change for 2021 will be the option for speakers and Federal Agency personnel to present remotely, simulcast on live interactive screens inside of the event venue. Registration: Individuals seeking to register for the conference, to present or to sponsor the event can do so here or on the Orchid Advisors or Williams Mullen’s Firearm Industry Group websites. Remote, Live, Instructor-led Career Development New to the hosts’ education platform are remote, live, instructor-led career development programs for both retail and manufacturing professionals. The programs will center around a classroom learning style, with structured peer groups that meet several times over a two-month period. Each program will be offered twice per year and will provide firearm industry professionals the ability to select from the following four career tracks.
  • Retail Firearm Technology – Mastering Point-of-Sale, eCommerce, and Payment Concepts
  • Retail Firearm Compliance – Mastering Federal and State Firearm Transfer Regulations
  • Manufacturing Firearm Technology – Mastering ERP Applications, Laser Marking and ATF Integrations
  • Manufacturing Firearm Compliance – Mastering Classifications, ATF Forms, and Compliance Programs
Registration: Individuals seeking to register for any of the four Spring or Fall career development programs can do so here or on the Orchid Advisors or Williams Mullen’s Firearm Industry Group websites.
