HARTFORD, CT (February 15, 2023) – Orchid and Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group are excited to announce the full agenda for the 2023 Firearms Industry Conference (FIC), to be held in Atlanta, May 1-3, 2023, and virtually April 27-28. The 9th annual conference, FIC 2023 will deliver more than 40 subject matter expert-led learning sessions on tactical operational topics intended for licensed firearm and ammunition businesses and industry professionals.

“FIC has always strived to address the current needs and concerns of our industry,” said Orchid CEO Jon Rydberg. “This year’s agenda offers attendees a broad range of topics across all learning tracks. As the ecommerce market continues to grow, we’ve added more content around selling online, digital marketing, search engine optimization, and how to navigate state-level restrictions. And, of course, we also have a strong schedule of compliance, legal, and finance sessions reviewing proactive revocation protection, ATF regulation changes, import and export controls, FAET rates, and more.”

Comprised of three events over five days, FIC On-Air returns as a virtual option for new industry members and small-to-medium businesses, followed by in-depth FIC pre-conference workshops and the main conference event. As in previous years, FIC 2023 will feature keynotes and industry updates by ATF, FBI NICS, NSSF, and NASGW, as well as interactive breakout sessions with regulatory agencies.

Notable FIC 2023 sessions include:

  • How to Use Industry Data to Drive Business Success (FIC On-Air)
  • Liability Exposure, ‘Reasonable Controls’ & Guarding Against Litigation Risk (Workshop)
  • How to Build a Sales Incentive Program (Main Event)
  • Ammunition & Explosives: Licensing, Manufacturing & Regulations (Main Event)
  • Firearms and Ammunition Export Authorization Strategy (Main Event)

“This year’s agenda is a well-rounded balance of topics perfectly suited for the wide-ranging audience FIC attracts,” said Camden Webb, partner and co-chair of the Williams Mullen Firearms Industry Group.

“Orchid and Williams Mullen have gathered a great list of respected industry names to lead sessions and share their knowledge and experiences with attendees,” added Chuck James, partner and co-chair of the Williams Mullen Firearms Industry Group. “We look forward to seeing both new and familiar faces in Atlanta this spring.”

Giveaway: From now until March 1, all new FIC Main Event registrants will be eligible to receive free airfare and hotel accommodations for FIC 2023, up to $2,000 in value. One (1) winner will be selected randomly and announced on March 7. Terms and conditions apply.
