The 9th annual Firearms Industry Conference (FIC) is only a month away. Organized by Orchid and Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group, FIC 2023 will host licensed firearms businesses and industry professionals for three days (May 1-3, 2023) of expert-led education, regulatory agency engagement, and networking opportunities in Atlanta.

Whether you’ve attended one of our prior eight conferences or are only just learning about FIC 2023 now, there’s no better time than now to register for the industry’s premier educational event of the year.

Below are five reasons you and your team should join us at FIC 2023 this spring:

5 Reasons to Attend FIC 2023

1. 35 Hours of Education
Over the course of three days, in-person FIC attendees will have access to over 35 hours of education on tactical and timely topics across three learning tracks: FFL Compliance, FFL Technology, and Firearm Law & Finance. From deep-dive FIC Pre-conference Workshops to industry keynotes, agency roundtables and expert-led sessions during the Main Event, there’s something for everyone in this year’s conference agenda.

2. Subject Matter Expertise
Throughout FIC 2023, attendees will hear and learn from over 35 operations, compliance, technology, legal, finance, and marketing subject matter experts from conference hosts, Orchid and Williams Mullen, federal regulatory agencies (ATF, FBI, BIS, and DDTC), industry trade associations (NSSF, NASGW, ASA), and leading organizations, such as Guns.com, Credova, EpiCenter, and Hall-N-Hall Consulting.

3. Agency Access
The pinnacle of every FIC event, leadership and personnel from the four major federal regulatory agencies – ATF, FBI, BIS and DDTC – and their many divisions will be onsite to lead multiple learning sessions and answer attendee question in dedicated, interactive roundtables on various compliance topics. Attendees can also schedule one-on-one meetings with agencies at designated times during the in-person conference to discuss private issues.

4. Industry Networking
Attended by industry professionals from FFL owners and executives to sales managers and compliance officers, attorneys and general counsel to marketers and IT professionals, FIC is annually attended by all who manufacture, distribute, sell, buy, and regulate firearms. Attendees are encouraged to take advantage of networking breaks and cocktail receptions to make new connections, or to network after each day’s sessions over dinner and drinks nearby.

5. Silent Auction Prizes
Those who attend the FIC Main Event will have an opportunity to leave Atlanta with more than just new learnings and business contacts. New for 2023, attendees can participate in the FIC Silent Auction and bid to win incredible prizes from Gunsite Academy, Ruger, Weatherby, Barrett, QuietKat and others, with all proceeds donated to the Firearms Research Center. Simply place your bids during the event and wait until after the week’s last session to potentially hear your name called to collect your prize.

Virtual FIC On-Air

Can’t make this year’s FIC 2023 in-person events? Don’t worry – we have you covered!

After a successful debut last year, FIC On-Air returns to offer two days of virtual learning intended for small-to-medium firearms businesses, new industry professionals, and those unable to travel to Atlanta. Like 2022, sessions will again focus on FFL Compliance and FFL Technology topics, dividing each half-day schedule into two parts.

Sponsored by digital storage leader 4473 Cloud, sessions will be held via Zoom, enabling registrants to jump in and out of the event throughout the day from the comfort of their home, office, or workplace as time allows. Plus, all virtual sessions will be recorded and made available to watch on-demand after the event.

Notable FIC On-Air sessions this year include:
