HARTFORD, CT (October 20, 2021) – The shooting sports industry leader in FFL technology, payments and compliance services, Orchid LLC and co-host Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group are excited to announce the 2022 Firearms Industry Conference (FIC) will be held April 25–27, 2022 in Atlanta, Ga. The eighth annual industry event will continue to expand with in-depth learning tracks examining strategic FFL topics, including manufacturer and retailer technology, financing and law. The Williams Mullen Firearms Industry Group provides full-service legal services tailored to the needs and challenges of the industry.

“Last year’s conference was the largest and most successful yet, but we’re always looking for ways to make the event better,” said Orchid CEO, Jon Rydberg. “Over the years, FIC has evolved from core ATF, import and export topics to include FFL processes impacted by regulation. We also recognize the industry’s shift towards technology-driven operations and business consolidations. This rebranded event will take a broader, yet more pragmatic approach to content delivery, focusing on regulated operations, technology and the actions which drive an FFL owner or CEO’s agenda. We believe such education has been missing from the industry and are excited to lead this path alongside Williams Mullen and our industry associations.”

A three-day event, the 2022 Firearms Industry Conference will be held at The Westin Buckhead Atlanta with notable industry and regulatory agency executives anticipated to attend.

“We’re pleased to continue advising and supporting industry members through our collaboration with Orchid and the new and improved Firearms Industry Conference next year,” said Camden Webb, partner and co-chair of Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group.

“The issues facing the industry are real and evolving. Our practice and strategy have a single focus: to provide innovative, practical, business-oriented legal solutions to our clients,” said Chuck James, partner and co-chair of Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group. “We look forward to announcing the opening of registration, our agenda and initial sponsors in the coming months.”

In the interim, interested parties can enroll for pre-registration information at orchidadvisors.com/FIC.
