We welcome you to join Orchid Advisors at the IWA Outdoor Classic March 9th through the 11th in Nuremburg, Germany for a FREE introductory training session on ECR. The Pre-Conference Export Control Reform Boot Camp course will include:
EAR Export Classification, BIS Licensing, Transition to EAR: Learn about the new Export Control Classification Numbers (“ECCN”) for firearms and ammunition, classifying your products, using SNAP-R, preparing BIS license applications, tips to help with the transition from ITAR to EAR, and more!
EAR License Exceptions: When can you export firearms, parts, and ammunition without a license? In this session you will learn how EAR license exceptions work, when you can use them, the limiting conditions, and the recordkeeping requirements. Understanding license exceptions will help your export business grow and get shipments out faster.
EAR Technology, Technology Control, Public Domain, BIS Voluntary Self Disclosures: As an exporter, it’s important to know the new terms and definitions of Technology and Public Domain. Knowing what’s controlled, what’s not, and what needs to be done if a release of technology happens without proper authorization under the EAR is critical. In this session we will walk through EAR-controlled Technology, review what the EAR considers to be in Public Domain, best practices for controlling technology from unauthorized release, and the voluntary self-disclosure process under the EAR.
