Hartford, CT (December 20, 2024) – Orchid, the industry leader in FFL technology, firearm compliance services, and 2A-friendly payment processing, is proud to announce the launch of the ATF Transaction Advisory Program, a game-changing resource designed specifically for retail gun stores. Starting at just $19 per month, the program offers affordable, comprehensive education and access to Orchid’s renowned firearm compliance team.

“ATF compliance is critical to the livelihood of FFLs,” says Orchid’s Philip Milks, SVP of Regulatory Services and lead attorney at FFL Law. “Over the past decade, we’ve worked alongside thousands of FFLs and understand the challenges retail gun stores face, especially in maintaining consistent compliance knowledge amidst high employee turnover. A single error on ATF Form 4473, Multiple Sales Forms, or the A&D Book can lead to a revocation hearing, costing the business thousands of dollars to defend or ultimately, its license. Orchid’s new ATF Transaction Advisory Program provides gun store owners peace of mind so they can focus on growing their business by providing access to attorneys and regulatory professionals to ensure their employees act in compliance with the law when performing consumer transfers – by far the most common source of FFL revocation.”

Core Features of the ATF Transaction Advisory Program:

  • Online ATF Education: Unlimited access to the “Retail Gun Store & Type 01 FFL Requirements” course on Orchid’s FFL University

  • Unlimited Firearm Transfer Support: Direct access to Orchid’s compliance experts for guidance on consumer transfers, background checks, ATF Form 4473, Multiple Sales Forms, and A&D Book transactions.

The program is available to all retail gun stores, regardless of their FFL type or software platform. There are two subscription tiers:

Orchid eBound Users: Subscribers to Orchid eBound—the only A&D Book with a 100% ATF revocation defense guarantee from FFL Law and complimentary in-house electronic 4473 storage for up to 1,000 transactions—can access the program for just $19 per month.

All Other Gun Stores: Retail FFLs that are not subscribed to Orchid eBound can subscribe to the ATF Transaction Advisory Program for only $50 per month.  In addition, retailers who elect to migrate to Orchid eBound will also be offered a free inventory migration and an exclusive 10% discount on an Orchid eBound subscription.

“Orchid eBound transacts over 50% of all firearms manufactured in the United States—a testament to the trust and confidence the industry has placed in our solutions for over ten years,” says Orchid CEO Jon Rydberg. “We’re proud to enhance our portfolio of POS, eCommerce, and ATF compliance software with a low-cost program that empowers retail gun stores to succeed in today’s regulatory environment.”
