How does Orchid eSerial Work™?
1. Integrate Laser
Integrate Orchid eSerial™ to any number of popular lasers and mechanical engraving devices such as Coherent / Rofin, Turmpf, Jimani, LMT and more
2. Reserve Serial Numbers
Log into Orchid eSerial™ and create a range of serial numbers by part number.
3. Scan WO or Enter Part Number
Operator approaches the laser and either scans a work order or enters the next part to be marked. The PN and WO #, if desired, are sent to Orchid eSerial™
4. Send Serial Number to Laser
Orchid eSerial™ sends the next available SN in the range. (Note, multiple lasers can run simultaneously)
5. Serial Number is Reserved
Orchid eSerial™ blocks the number in nanoseconds to prevent use on another laser or in the future.
6. Laser Engraves the Firearm
The laser or mechanical etcher marks the firearm
7. SN Marking is Confirmed
Operator or OCR scanner confirms that the mark is good and that the gun should be acquired.
8. Serial Number is Acquired
Orchid eSerial™ sends the serial numbers and firearm details to Orchid eBound™ where it is auto acquired
