HARTFORD, CT (October 21, 2022) – Orchid and Williams Mullen’s Firearms Industry Group are excited to announce registration is now open for the 2023 Firearms Industry Conference (FIC), to be held April 27-May 3, 2023. The conference will include two days of virtual learning followed by in-person workshops and main sessions in Atlanta, GA. Sessions will follow three comprehensive learning tracks – FFL Technology, FFL Compliance, and Finance and Firearms Industry Law – and be led by regulatory agency representatives, trade association executives and leading industry professionals.

“We strive to make the Firearms Industry Conference bigger and better each year, and 2023 will be no exception,” said Orchid CEO, Jon Rydberg. “As the event evolves, FIC continues to deliver focused educational sessions on new technologies, operational strategies, and ATF compliance, as well as opportunities to interact with fellow industry members and engage in open dialogue with policymakers. We’re eager to offer conference attendees new learning sessions, new speakers and sponsors, and new virtual and in-person experiences at FIC 2023.”

Debuted at this past year’s event, FIC On-Air returns with shorter virtual learning sessions on tactical topics relating to FFL Compliance and Technology, perfect for new industry members, small-to-medium operations and those unable to travel. The following week, FIC Workshops and the main FIC event will feature three days of in-depth content, both critical and timely to FFLs, including much-anticipated roundtable discussions with regulatory agencies. Attendance by ATF, FBI, NASGW and ASA have already been confirmed with others to join in the coming months.

“FIC allows Williams Mullen attorneys to present our firm’s wide-ranging experience on various legal, compliance and business matters affecting the firearms industry,” said Camden Webb, partner and co-chair of the Williams Mullen Firearms Industry Group.

“Whether an attendee is a FFL owner-operator, general counsel, compliance manager, accountant, or IT specialist, FIC has something to offer everyone. We look forward to announcing this year’s conference agenda, CLE opportunities, speakers and sponsors soon,” said Chuck James, partner and co-chair of the Williams Mullen Firearms Industry Group.
