Orchid is proud to announce a new customer, Oakdale Gun Club.

Founded in 1964, Oakdale Gun Club is located near Lake Elmo outside St. Paul, Minn. A member-owned and operated facility, Oakdale offers multiple handgun, rifle and shotgun ranges – including an ATA-regulated trap range and dedicated NRA bullseye competition range – with distances spanning 10–200 yards. In addition, Oakdale boasts a busy firearms training and competitive shooting calendar, offering specific classes for youth and women, matches for the NRA, Civilian Marksmanship Program, GSSF, and USPSA, as well as range time for local 4-H clubs and high school trap teams. As a non-profit corporation, Oakdale is dedicated to promoting the shooting sports, improving public safety, and providing the community with a safe, supervised, and well-maintained place to practice the shooting sports.

Since the 1960s, a lot has changed in the firearms industry, including FFL technology. Nearly 60 years old, Oakdale contacted Orchid wanting to modernize its business operations and upgrade its outdated point-of-sale system. Shortly after, Oakdale was outfitted with Orchid POS™ to manage day-to-day range and training transactions, as well as their 1,500-person membership program. Also included was Orchid Pay™, enabling in-store card payments with industry-low rates.
