Based in Castle Rock, Colo., Mountain City Supply (MCS) is a family-run firearms business with Type 01, 07 and 08 FFL licenses. In 2021, MCS relocated from downtown Denver to its current location where the business opened its first retail location and launched an ammunition manufacturing operation. What initially started as an opportunity to fill empty shelves and improve product quality during the national ammunition shortage has since turned into over 20 full-time MCS employees producing 200,000–300,000 rounds of handgun, rifle and shotshell ammunition a week in a state-of-the-art 10,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Today, MCS seeks to continue growing its ammunition business by also producing in-house ammunition components, as well as expanding its retail capabilities.

Previously utilizing a physical A&D Bound Book, Mountain City Supply initially reached out to Orchid about upgrading to digital compliance software. By implementing the Orchid Retail FFL Suite – including cloud-based Orchid POS™, Orchid eBound™/e4473, and Orchid Pay™ – in its firearm retail store, MCS is better armed to serve its customers, manage firearm inventory, and process card payments with flexibility, affordability and the utmost compliance.
